Notion integrations can only access the pages and databases you authorize. If an integration such as Copy To Notion cannot find a database or page, the most common reason is that the connection does not have access to it yet.
This guide shows the current ways to give an integration access, add more pages later, understand inherited access, and fix the most common permission problems.
The screenshots and examples below use Copy To Notion, but the same Notion connection flow applies to other Notion integrations.
Method 1: Give an integration access from the page or database
This is the simplest method when the integration is already connected to your workspace but cannot see a specific page or database.
- Open the Notion page or database you want the integration to access.
- Click the ••• menu in the top-right corner.
- Find Connections or Add connections.
- Search for Copy To Notion.
- Select the connection and confirm access if Notion asks you to.

Once connected, go back to Copy To Notion and try selecting or refreshing your Notion destination again.
Method 2: Select pages when connecting Copy To Notion for the first time
When you authorize Copy To Notion through Notion, Notion lets you choose which pages the connection should be able to access.
The flow is generally:
- Start the Connect to Notion flow from Copy To Notion.
- Choose the correct Notion workspace.
- Select the pages you want Copy To Notion to access.
- Confirm the authorization.

You do not need to give Copy To Notion access to your entire workspace. Select only the pages you want to use with the extension.
Give Copy To Notion access to several pages
If several pages or databases live under the same parent page, it is often easier to give the connection access to the relevant parent page rather than connecting each child page separately.
Notion permissions are hierarchical in many cases, so access to a parent page can make the content under that page available to the integration as well, as long as the child content does not have more restrictive permissions.
For large workspaces, Notion also provides additional connection and page-access management controls for workspace administrators. Some bulk page-access controls are limited to Enterprise workspaces, so do not expect every workspace to expose the same administration options.
Why can't Copy To Notion find my Notion database or page?
If the page or database still does not appear after connecting it, check these points.
1. Make sure you connected the correct Notion workspace
If you belong to several Notion workspaces, it is easy to authorize Copy To Notion in one workspace while looking for a database stored in another.
Reconnect or verify that the workspace shown during authorization is the one containing the page or database you want to use.
2. Make sure the page or database is shared with Copy To Notion
Open the destination in Notion and check its Connections menu. If Copy To Notion is not listed, add it using Method 1 above.
3. Check the parent page
If the database is embedded inside or belongs under another page, make sure the integration can access the relevant parent hierarchy.
4. Check related databases used by Relation properties
If your destination database contains a Relation property, the database on the other side of that relation must also be accessible to Copy To Notion before the extension can reliably load or use those related values.
5. Check your workspace permissions
Some workspaces restrict who can install integrations or change connection access. If the connection options are missing, a workspace owner or administrator may need to grant access.
6. Refresh Copy To Notion after changing access
After changing a Notion connection, reopen or refresh the Copy To Notion extension so it can load the latest accessible pages and databases.
Does Copy To Notion get access to my entire Notion workspace?
No. Connecting Copy To Notion does not automatically mean giving it unrestricted access to every page in your workspace.
Notion controls integration access through its connection and page permission system. Copy To Notion can only work with content that the Notion connection is authorized to access.
That means you can keep private or unrelated pages outside the connection and only share the pages or databases you actually want to use with Copy To Notion.
How to remove Copy To Notion from a page or database
If you no longer want Copy To Notion to access a specific page or database:
- Open that page or database in Notion.
- Click •••.
- Open Connections.
- Find Copy To Notion.
- Remove or disconnect the connection from that page.
This removes access to that location without necessarily deleting the Copy To Notion connection from the entire workspace.
How to completely reconnect Copy To Notion
If changing page access does not solve the problem, remove the existing Copy To Notion workspace connection and connect it again.
After reconnecting, make sure you select the correct workspace and authorize the pages you want Copy To Notion to use.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to share every database individually?
Not always. If several databases are inside the same accessible parent page, giving the connection access to the parent may also make its child content available. If a specific database still does not appear, connect that database directly.
Can I share only one Notion database with Copy To Notion?
Yes. You can authorize only the pages and databases you want Copy To Notion to use instead of exposing unrelated workspace content.
Why did a database disappear from Copy To Notion?
Common causes include removing the connection from the page, moving the database somewhere the integration cannot access, changing workspace permissions, or reconnecting Copy To Notion without selecting that page again.
Why can Copy To Notion see the database but not a related database?
Notion Relation properties can reference another database. That related database needs to be shared with the integration too if Copy To Notion needs to read its pages or values.
