1. Select your text
Select the text you want to save to your Notion database, then click on the Copy To Notion icon in your browser toolbar, then choose Save Selected Text.
You can right-click and select Save selected text under Copy To Notion sub-menu, instead of using the extension icon.
2. Select the destination database
- Click on “Add a Notion destination” under “Save to” dropdown
- Type the title of your database on the search input
- Select your database on the search results under Databases section.
3. Create your database form
Here you can match your database properties with the values provided by the extension.
Normally, the extension maps most of your database properties automatically for you, and you can change the mapping and the form title later whenever you want.
So, just click on SAVE & RETURN to create your database form.
4. Save the selected text
If your database has tags, you can select or create a tag related to your selection on the tags drop-down list. Then, click on “Add to Notion” to save your highlight.
You don’t need to repeat the 2nd and 3rd steps every time for the same database, you can just select the related form under Stored Forms section.
5. Access the saved highlight
A little popup should be visible on the top right, you click on Open in Notion, to open the database page where the text highlight is saved.
If you haven't installed Copy To Notion yet, now is the perfect time to give it a go!
