Extract specific web content with ease (and send it to Notion)

The "Select element" feature in Copy To Notion allows you to easily copy any content from a webpage to a specific Notion property. This is useful for capturing specific pieces of information, such as a person's title, company, or contact information from a LinkedIn profile for example.

Here's how to use it:
  1. Navigate to the webpage you want to clip content from.
  1. Open the Copy To Notion extension.
  1. Select a clipping format or capture format as you normally would. For example, you might choose "Bookmark URL" or "Take a Screenshot."
  1. Click on the small arrow next to any field in the popup window. This arrow appears to the right of the field name.
  1. Click on the element on the webpage that you want to copy. The extension will automatically try to identify the type of element you selected (text or URL) and fill in the corresponding field in the popup window.
      • If the field is a text field (such as page title, page content, or any text property), it will retrieve the content of the selected HTML element.
      • If the field is a URL field, it will retrieve the URL if the selected element is a URL; otherwise, it will retrieve the content.
  1. Review the content in the popup window. You can make any necessary edits before saving the clip to your Notion workspace.
  1. Click "Add to Notion" to clip the content to your Notion workspace.
I hope this guide helps you get started with the "Select element" feature in Copy To Notion!
